What We Believe
Statement of Faith
Freedom Church Ministries stands firmly on the Word of God as our foundation. We are committed to upholding biblical truth and living a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus Christ.
1. **The Trinity** – We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
2. **The Bible** – We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate guide for faith, doctrine, and daily living. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
3. **Salvation & Repentance** – We believe that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. It is obtained by grace through faith, and true repentance is necessary for forgiveness of sins. (Romans 10:9-10, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 2:8-9)
4. **Holy Communion & Water Baptism** – We believe in partaking of the Lord’s Supper as an act of remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice. We also believe in water baptism as an outward sign of an inward transformation, symbolizing the believer’s death to sin and new life in Christ. (Luke 22:19-20, Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-4)
5. **Correction & Discipline** – We believe the Word of God is given for teaching, rebuke, correction, and instruction in righteousness, that we may live according to His will. (2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 12:6)
6. **Sanctification** – We believe sanctification is a continual process of being set apart for God’s purpose, living a holy life through the power of the Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4, 1 Peter 1:15-16)
7. **Heaven & Hell** – We believe that heaven is a real place, prepared for those who live according to the Word of God and have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Likewise, we believe that hell is a place of eternal separation from God, where those who reject Christ and live contrary to His Word will dwell. (John 14:2-3, Revelation 20:15, Matthew 25:46)
8. **Marriage & Family** – We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God, designed to be between one male and one female. We do not believe in or support same-sex marriage, as it is contrary to biblical teaching. (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Romans 1:26-27)
9. **Spiritual Discipline** – We believe in the power of prayer, fasting, and shut-ins as essential spiritual practices that strengthen the believer, align us with God’s will, and help us subdue the desires of the flesh. (Matthew 6:6, Matthew 6:16-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
