Spiritual Fasting
Normal fast
Is a period of voluntary abstention from food and, in some cases, drink, typically for a set duration. It is commonly practiced for religious, health, or personal reasons. A standard fast may last anywhere from a few hours to a full day or longer, with participants often consuming only water or other non-caloric beverages. Some fasts allow limited intake, such as small amounts of juice or broth. During fasting, the body shifts to using stored energy, which can lead to benefits like improved metabolism, mental clarity, and detoxification.
